Collaboration with Wataru Hamasaka, Emeritus Professor of Sculpture at Kurashiki University, Japan. Meaning to float, rise, appear, rest in peace, be saved, dawn on one, come to mind. Ukabu is a collaboration of two people who live in different hemispheres and are poles apart in their art practice. Wataru Hamasaka whose predominant methodology is reduction with work solid and horizontal, and Graham Bennett whose focus is construction with work linear, and vertical.
