'Art can help to shift our minds to a safe place to relax, refocus and recreate a new world to help us navigate our lives and future. It is like water, it will find its own level wherever we flow to.'
Oli Oli is about finding joy and uplift in these difficult times. Difficult in terms of real connection, environmental issues, the economy, uncertainty, political extremism, feeling overwhelmed. Fatu urges us towards connecting more closely with those we love, family, friends, the natural world, our histories, our ancestors. The energy of these paintings alone is an uplift as the early response has shown.
