13 June - 14 August (extended)

Matariki marks the change of the year in the Māori Calendar as the Matariki star cluster dips below the horizon beyond view, then rises a few weeks later. It is a time to rest, to breathe - tā te manawa. The first new moon after the stars reappear is the beginning of the new year according to some. This exhibition draws together diverse works linked to these themes, by prominent New Zealand artists coinciding with the Picton/Waitohi Matariki festival.

Group exhibition of leading NZ artists to coincide with the Picton/Waitohi Matariki Festival.
