confronting social and sustainability issues - powerful paintings and sculpture by three major NZ artists
Fatu Feu'u, Graham Bennett, Nigel Brown
28 March to 26 April 2018
Preview: 25 March 4pm
A monumental 5.2 metre long painting by Fatu Feu'u anchors this exhibition, one of the most important he has ever painted, because it’s about one of the largest social issues we face as a society today - the need for families and community to communicate with their teenagers and young people, to counter youth depression and suicide by nurturing our youth and their spiritual well being. Alongside it, prominent artists Graham Bennett and Nigel Brown challenge us to urgently find solutions to sustainability issues in the face of global climate volatility, through new paintings and sculpture.
